Do you feel like this past year has taken your breath away? The problem is that many, if not most of us were shallow breathers before all of this.

Short, shallow and fragmented breaths
If you want to see deep breathing observe a baby. The rhythm and ease in which the breath flows is our true nature. Overtime with the demands of daily life many of us have become thoracic and or mouth breathers which has demonstrated to create more stress, tension and everything else that goes with stress.

Diaphragmatic breathing – Powerful source of energy
As one of the greatest sources of energy, conscious breathing is free and always available. Developing the habit to breathe deeply is a powerful practice and going back to our true and natural breath requires knowledge, practice and guidance.

About You
You’re a teacher, therapist or coach and regardless of what you focus on in your practice you know that teaching your clients to breathe will enhance their potential to experience optimal results. You may already have some techniques to help your clients improve their breathing but you want to learn more so that you can better support them in reaching their goals. This course is for you.

Course Outline:
• Anatomy of the breath
• Posture awareness and techniques to improve our posture

• The importance of removing the obstructions on the breath
• Inquiry – Practices to identify starting points and holding patterns

• Effective and simple exercises that can be done sitting, standing and lying down to improve the quality of the breath
• The plays of oppositions found in the breath

• Visualization and language to improve the quality of the breath
• In addition, we will explore three variations of alternate nostril breathing

Class Structure:
Each class includes lecture and practice.
Certificate of completion provided.

You will have access to the recordings until February 28, 2021, providing you with the opportunity to review what you have learned, or have access to the classes you may have missed.

With over 20 years of full-time experience teaching, consulting and presenting on the subject of yoga for holistic well-being, Sylvie Gouin is established in the practice of yoga and well-prepared to assist you on your journey. She has been leading yoga teacher training programs since 2007 and as of 2019 has lead 17 recognized certification programs. Her extensive knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to continue and develop her offerings, combined with her dedication to the practice and her students is inspiring and contagious.

Her credentials include E-RYT 500, certified yoga therapist, certified Ayurvedic lifestyle specialist, reiki master and registered holistic nutritionist. She has a degree in Holistic Theology and is a member of the Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada.
