Your Healing Journey Continues with the Energy Body and Emotions…

Continuing from the foundation in Level 1, Level 2 adds expanding your self-care tool kit.

In this course you will be adding another 29 NEW Somatic Movement Flows. The themes are to enliven the human energy field (aura and chakras), and to address the balance of the emotional body.

As we all know, our biggest investment is our health. Gentle Somatic Yoga is a science proven and heart based method to empower you with skills for self-care and self-healing.

Before the physical, the human body is made up of light, energy and consciousness. Therefore it is important to address the energy body, otherwise known as the aura and chakras.

A strong healthy aura is critical to maintaining a healthy body.

Simply put,  an aura is a vibrant ray of color composed of energy that flows around living things. Stemming from the Greek word for “breeze,” our auras indicate our moods, emotions, and overall vibe.

And like any other part of our anatomy, the aura, if you’re a believer, requires regular maintenance—tune-ups and check-ins—to function at full capacity.

There are also centers of vital force called chakras. Ancient medical systems believe that this energy is expressed in seven layers. Each layer is said to correlate to a different element of your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health.

  • You can take the story out of it and then take in the NEUTRAL information and make a healthy choice point
  • This allows you to integrate the whole self without judgement
  • Finally the awareness of how these emotions affect the body and gives you the empowerment of self-correction
If you want to have a contemplative or meditation practice where you can learn to still the mind
Expanding the capacity to hold presence for self and others, deepening the experience of the now moment
If you’re a teacher or movement educator and you want to further expand your SMF’s for the physical body for common physical conditions and solutions for common ailments

During this workshop you will learn and explore:

  • 29+ Therapeutic Somatic Movement Flows® for self-care, emotional resiliency, health and wellbeing. This course also expands from GSY Level 1: The Somatic Foundation to continue to address the Whole Person. This includes offering powerful tools to support mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual freedom
  • Discovering ways to practice that are suitable and effective for your body. Emphasis will be on finding your own inner teacher through direct experience (experiential) and relying less on “doing it right” according to traditional hierarchical instruction or demonstration
  • How to develop an embodied experience of wellness that will build confidence for continued self-healing.
  • How to practice mindful and compassionate movement in a way that inspires deeper connection with your body
  • For those looking for self-healing: you get to experience the joy and fulfillment of being able to help your friends, family and community by inviting them to be your practice support
  • For teachers: leading-edge neuroscience balanced with heart-based wisdom
  • For teachers: Tips and guidelines to support your own niche of adaptive and nourishing movement into your group classes and private sessions
  • For teachers: Learn how to replace static stretching with innovative brain-to-muscle re-education that goes to the root cause of most chronic muscular pain: the way in which the brain senses, controls, and organizes the muscles with movement
  • Recordings of all sessions. You will have access to them for three months after the course ends if you do not choose the certification option and 6 months with the certification

CEU’s
Without certification, yoga instructors may claim 30 CEU hours for the combined classes.
With certification, yoga instructors may claim 32 CEU hours for the combined classes.

You will not need to be present for the entire day. 4 students will be in each teachback pod in approximately 2 hour blocks. You will be notified of your teachback pod timeframe before the class starts so you can plan properly.

Access to our Online Level 2 Course Library ~ Upon registration, you’ll be granted access to our online library so you can print out or make a digital library of all course PDF Handouts.
