This training will help Yin Yoga Teachers support their students as they discover:
- Yoga is about transforming the mind. Physical postures open the door.
- How to integrate physical postures, Bandha, Pranayama, and Meditation techniques to create a transformative experience.
The Foundation of Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga begins as a physical practice through which people learn to listen to their own body, and discover the vast wisdom held therein. The physical practice opens the body, clears the Meridians/ Nadis, ultimately creating space in the body and allowing Prana to flow more freely. For most students, this is where Yin ends.
An Integrative Experience
The physical Yin practice is, in fact, just the beginning. Through Applied Energetics and specific sequencing, we can include the energetic aspects of the practiced and deliver an integrative Yin Yoga experience for our students.
The Wind Beneath our Wings
This integrative approach to Yin Yoga, generates, contains, and moves (Utilizes) Prana. Utilized Prana is known as Prana Shakti. It drives everything we do. It powers our aspirations; it transforms our life. It is the wind beneath our wings.
Yin Yoga – Applied Energetics
In this Applied Energetics training, you will learn:
- To use the three key Bandhas (Mulha, Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Jalahara Bandha), to generate and contain Prana
- To use 4 key Pranayama techniques, including: Bhramari Breath, KapalaBhati, along with breath retention to move & utilize prana
- 4 Meditation techniques , including: “Healing Heart”, “61 Points”, to drive transformation in our lives.
- How to bring this integrative experience together.
- Vinyasa Krama – What to practice, when, and how.
The training includes a set of notes, and a sample class plan to help you continue exploring and building your own Advanced Yin practices.
